Improved Design

The original website looked dated and was more of a brochure style site. We completely modernised the design to make it more vibrant and the feedback from their clients has been positive.

Client Satisfaction

The most common complaint about the original website was the  requirement to login to use the wishlist functionality. We removed that barrier and their clients are now 100% satisfied.

Bug Fix

The original website had a bug which caused duplicate artwork to be included in the wishlist email sent to the client. We squashed that bug plus made enhancements to the functionality.

Full Project Details

Website Redesign

We focused on including some of their original artworks into the new design to introduce lots of colour against the clean white background. Images of installed artwork were used, not only as a way to display their work, but as a section break.

Better use of the brand colours were also utilised throughout the site to compliment the Rental Art logo.

Animations and icons were included in key places to attract the attention of the user plus break up the text and keep it interesting.

Logo

We converted the logo to SVG format for optimisation.

SEO

We installed and configured the Rank Math SEO plugin plus submitted all pages to Google and Bing.

New Features

WooCommerce
The WooCommerce plugin was introduced and all artwork entered in manually. Custom functionality was written to convert the native WooCommerce cart into a Wishlist feature.

Advanced Woo Search
We included the Advanced Woo Search plugin so users can search for artwork.

YayMail – WooCommerce Email Customizer
The WooCommerce default emails are very basic and don’t include the branding. We included the YayMail – WooCommerce Email Customizer plugin and branded all emails sent by WooCommerce.

YITH WooCommerce Badge Management
The YITH WooCommerce Badge Management plugin was installed and configured so artwork can be marked as RENTED by the client.

WooCommerce Load More Products
The WooCommerce Load More Products plugin was a nice touch to enable automatic loading of artwork when scrolling the page of artworks.

Woo Quick View
The Woo Quick View plugin was a must because it allows the user to view the artwork details quickly in a popup thus supporting improved navigation.

Web Hosting

Ross, the owner and founder of Rental Art, happily agreed to use our web hosting services after having many issues with his previous provider.

Web Maintenance

We offered a maintenance plan to Ross and he agreed without hesitation. The original Rental Art website wasn’t being maintained and as a result was compromised. After rebuilding the new website on our hosting service the problem was fixed and we continue to update the WordPress core and plugins once per month.

Website Migration

We successfully migrated the Rental Art website to our hosting service before starting the website redesign process. All email accounts and emails were also migrated successfully.

LinkedIn Account Setup

LinkedIn is the perfect platform for Rental Art because most of their clients are businesses and government institutions. We set up a new LinkedIn company page for Rental Art including the sizing of the logo and cover photo.

3 new posts were written and 100 connection requests submitted, 40 of which were personalised resulting in increased exposure across the network.
